Preparing for your evaluation

A little preparation helps any careful clinic see your pattern faster — and helps you decide whether the fit is right.

Gather before you book

  • A timeline of when symptoms began and how they changed
  • Imaging reports and prior test results (you do not need the films on day one)
  • Medication and supplement list with doses
  • Names of physicians and therapists involved in your care
  • Notes on what helps, what flares symptoms and your top three daily limits

What visit day may feel like

Expect conversation first, then exam and testing paced with rest breaks. Lights, sound and task difficulty should be adjustable. You should be able to stop a task that is escalating symptoms too quickly. Leave with a plain-language explanation and a written summary when possible.

Questions worth asking

  • What do you measure, and how will you re-measure progress?
  • How do you work with my physicians on medications and medical issues?
  • What does an intensive versus outpatient plan look like for someone like me?
  • What would make you tell me you are not the right fit?
